Schedule an in-person appointment for a clinical breast exam.  Telehealth appointments are also available for patients for breast health education, mammogram referrals and other support services.  You may qualify for free early detection and cancer screenings.

• Sports physicals are usually a part of registering youths for participation in a sport. Organizers generally require an evaluation for children to participate, with regulations varying according to the rules of the respective state, school or a sport’s governing body. We will help to assure that the athlete is healthy and physically ready for their chosen activity.

• Our Doctors can prescribe the medications needed to better your health. Please let us know if there are any questions you have about your medications.

• We offer Laboratory tests as part of your routine checkup to look for changes in your health. Many factors play into your health and lab tests offer your doctor more information to diagnose medical conditions more accurately.

• We provide immunizations and routine screenings at our clinic. These services are offered by appointments or walk-in basis every Tuesday and Wednesday. Walk-in patients are seen on a “first come, first served” basis and early arrival is suggested. If you’re not sure what vaccinations or screenings you might need, we can help advise you when you call for an appointment or come in to receive services.
• Everyone 6 months and older should get an annual flu vaccine. 

• Calexico Wellness Center offers a wide range of medical care for adults, children and families in our community. Our services include regular checkups, screenings, treatment for illness and preventive care. We also help you manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, and coordinate your care with specialists.

• Screenings are tests that look for diseases before you have symptoms. Screening tests can find diseases early, when they’re easier to treat. You can get some screenings in your doctor’s office. Others need special equipment, so you may need to go to a different office or clinic.

Which tests you need depends on your age, your sex, your family history, and whether you have risk factors for certain diseases. After a screening test, ask when you will get the results and whom to talk to about them.

• At Calexico Wellness Center, Telemedicine provides a safe, convenient way to access care from anywhere.
• We use video and phone visits across all levels of care — from everyday appointments with your primary care doctor to remote mental health assessments.
• Call your doctor’s office if you would like to schedule a teldemedicine appointment. Schedule an in-person visit or reschedule any planned procedures or care.

• We provide free COVID-19 Vaccinations & Tests at our clinic. Please schedule an appointment for Vaccinations or walk-in on our vaccinations days. Please call to see when we are vaccinating.
• We also offer free COVID-19 Tests, including rapid and anti-body detection tests.
• Both of these services can be offered in our clinic, in your car or in the comfort of your home if needed.

Our pediatrician, Dr. Gerber is trained to prevent and manage health problems in infants, children, teens and young adults.

Children should see a pediatrician when they are sick or injured, but also when they are healthy.  Routine check-ups are important to ensure that your child is growing up healthy, receiving their immunizations on schedule and avoiding preventable diseases.
