Developmental and behavioral help
- As kids grow older, their bodies and needs change. Our pediatricians can help your adolescent navigate this challenging period to establish good mental and physical health habits to last a lifetime.
Sports Physicals
- Sports physicals are usually a part of registering youths for participation in a sport. Organizers generally require an evaluation for children to participate, with regulations varying according to the rules of the respective state, school or a sport’s governing body. We will help to assure that the athlete is healthy and physically ready for their chosen activity.
Chronic Illness
- If your child has a chronic condition such as cystic fibrosis, diabetes, congenital heart disease, asthma or a gastrointestinal condition, do not worry. We can coordinate their care with pediatric subspecialists, explain and discuss all diagnostic reports and doctors’ notes, and work with you to tailor a health plan that is appropriate and workable for the entire family.
Gynecologic care
- We can help with gynecologic issues, including contraception, and have experience broaching sensitive yet important topics for this age group, including body-image issues, substance abuse and good hygiene.
Vaccines for Children
- The Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program helps provide vaccines to children whose parents or guardians may not be able to afford them. This helps ensure that all children have a better chance of getting their recommended vaccinations on schedule. Vaccines available through the VFC Program are those recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). These vaccines protect babies, young children, and adolescents from 16 diseases.
